Richmond Open Studios Preview Exhibition at the Richmond Art Center!

Our ROS Preview Exhibition is an opportunity to showcase your work through a recent piece. This form collects information for the VAR volunteers planning the show's layout. Please complete this form by May 30 at 8:00 pm

Share your work with our community and beyond, at our first ever Richmond Open Studios Preview Exhibition! We thank the exhibitions program of our partner, the Richmond Art Center, for the chance to show the work of Richmond Artists.

The work will be shown at the Center’s West Gallery between July 3, and August 17. July 3 is the opening reception for their summer shows, from 1-3 pm. August 17 is the first day of our Richmond Open Studios, when several of our artists will be showing and selling their work in the RAC’s courtyard.

Because of the West Gallery’s size, we are limiting this exhibition to one piece each from VAR members registered for our Richmond Open Studios. This is not a curated or juried show. You can participate by registering for ROS 2024 and sending a recent piece that is ready to hang. Because we’ve received so many registrations, the size limit is 18 x 24” for two-dimensional work and 18 x 18 x 18” for three-dimensional work.

Not only will the Center’s many visitors see your work, you can sell it if you want. Other than than the low 30% commission the RAC charges for work sold, no additional fees will apply. Please check back often as this page will be updated with new details such as dimensions for the artwork and drop-off instructions.
