Another Successful Campaign!

We are so excited to share that we collected close to $1600 in donations during our 2025 Giving Tuesday Campaign, more than double what we collected in 2024! These funds will support our Richmond Open Studios. Our deepest thanks go to all of you who contributed amounts large and small, and to the ROS committee members who decorated the very special letters we sent out. We owe a big part of that success to Sadiqeh Agah for all of the exciting ideas she put in place in order to make this campaign a success. She worked very hard to make it happen.

These funds will help us realize our vision of a creative, diverse and prosperous future for Richmond artists. Since its beginning almost two years ago, VAR has been fortunate to count on the support of many artist volunteers and individual donors like you.

We want to thank you for what you’ve done to help VAR. It is helping artists stay in Richmond by providing a sense of community, information, and opportunities to connect with each other.

Why VAR?

  • VAR is an anchor organization of Richmond Renaissance, a group organizing an arts corridor in Richmond.

How to Donate

Visual Artists of Richmond is fiscally-sponsored by Independent Arts and Media a 501c3 nonprofit organization, which allows us to offer tax deductions for your contributions. You can donate in these three ways:

Sponsorship
A monetary contribution given to support an event, tied to the display of your logo and/or branding messages, mentioning you in media releases, etc.

Individual Donation
A monetary contribution which is not tied to specific activities, events, or other requirements.

In-kind Donation
A contribution of non-cash items or services not tied to specific activities, events, or other requirements.

Donation Methods

As a fiscally-sponsored project, we try to make it easy for you to donate.

Online Donations
Use the button at the top of this page. You will receive a confirmation email. A letter is sent to donors of $100 or more, usually within 48 hrs.

In-Person Credit Card Donations
We prefer checks during events, but if you need to use your credit card, we can accept them.

Regarding Check Donations
Please make checks payable to Intersection for the Arts, and write Visual Artists of Richmond in the memo line. This ensures that you’ll receive an acknowledgement letter for tax purposes, and your donation will be available for our project.
